In this session, join Susan Hunter, Director of Marketing, Communications and External Relations at Northern College, as she hears from international students like you about what inspired you to come to Canada and all that you hope to accomplish while you are here. What struggles have you overcome to create an auspicious reality for yourself? What do you say to yourself to stay positive and focused? Hear from others like you who have taken the journey far from home to create a new, exciting and daunting chapter of your life studying in Ontario, Canada.

Resume Writing with Impact: Success Working in Canada

Get some tips on what is needed to create a high-impact resume that can lead to rewarding work in Canada in this highly interactive session. What do you include if you have no Canadian work experience? What do you leave out that you may have mentioned while living in another country now that you are in a whole new place? Susan Hunter, Director of Marketing, Communications, and External Relations at Northern College, leads the session. She has been the hiring manager for many job postings at colleges where she has worked, and will lead you through what she looks for in resumes while seeking new employees. Bring your questions and a copy of your resume for this engaging and motivating session.
